5 Tablets We Recommend for Black Friday 2012

First of all, Happy Thanksgiving! And second it’s time to think about the hot offers that major stores out there will apply to their products. We here at Tablet News will recommend you some of the hottest tablets we’ve tested and what prices you may expect to get for them. So here it goes!

1) iPad Mini

This is a solid buy for Black Friday, but not at $329. If you catch it at somewhere around $300 or even sub $300 you should get it right away. We’ve reviewed the product a week ago and found it to be pretty appealing, with the resolution and price being the only downsides. So, if you eliminate the price defect, the product becomes 50% hotter, right? Anyway, this 7.9 inch slate with iPad 2 specs should be a bargain, if and only if it gets the rumored reduction. Or they could bundle some Earpods with it and we’d be happy.

2) Nexus 7

Originally the Nexus 7 was priced at $199 for the 8 GB version and $249 for the 16 GB unit, but now these prices apply to the 16 GB unit and 32 GB version. Well, imagine if the 1280 x 800 slate will drop to $149 in the 16 GB version or cost only $199 for the 32 GB version, or maybe go for $249 in the 32 GB 3G version. We’re dealing with a quad core Tegra 3 slate here, with the latest Android on board and first in line for updates.

3) ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity 700

The product cost $700 when we reviewed it and I imagine that it has dropped to at least $600 or even $500 by now. A reduction to somewhere around $400 would be mint, especially since this was one of the most powerful tablets on the market, especially thanks to the iPS+ LCD screen with 1200p resolution. It also had 1 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage and an 8 megapixel camera, actually the best camera one can get on a tablet right now. The battery was also very good and if they throw a dock in the mix, you can even get past 16 hours of battery life.

4) Samsung Galaxy Note II

I have to include the Galaxy Note II here, since although it’s not a tablet, it’s a phablet, so the next best thing. This is the highest performing device that the money can buy right now, when it comes to phablets. It’s also been on the market for almost two months, so the price has all the reason to drop. Last I heard, AT&T was selling it for $299.99 and imagine if the 5.5 inch HD quad core Exynos phablet went for $199.99 or even a crazy $99.99 on contract. And with that cool stylus on board, it’s worth every penny!

5) Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1

Before the Nexus 10 was announced, this was the most powerful Android tablet, with quad core Exynos CPU, 2 GB of RAM and a stylus with over 1000 pressure levels. Its only defects are the pretty low resolution and shabby build. However, you can do so much with this tablet and easily create presentations, drawings, do some video and photo editing and much more. The product was priced starting at $500 last I heard, that was a good price even back then, so maybe a $450 or so would make it even more appealing. Or maybe they will make the 32 GB unit cost the same as the 16 GB one did initially.

So there you have it folks, the best tablets (and phablet) money can buy on Black Friday 2012. You can click the names of the products to check out our reviews for each device.
