PD80 Rover Vogue is a 9.7 Inch Tablet With the Specs of the Galaxy Note II, $270 Price Tag

I thought for a while that Samsung is fond of its tradition of making things in house, but it appears I was wrong. Their Exynos CPU seemed like a trademark technology that they’re not willing to share with other people, but now it’s popping up on Meizu handsets and this mystery brand PD80 Rover Vogue slate.

We’re dealing with 9.7 inch tablet that packs an Exynos 4412 chipset and 2 GB of RAM and comes with a kickass price of $270. So we’re dealing with a quad core tablet that uses a pretty disappointing screen, an IPS panel with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. Android 4.0 ICS is present on the device, plus 16 GB of storage, a 5 megapixel camera, a webcam upfront, Bluetooth, WiFi and a 6000 mAh battery, plus microSD card slot. MiniHDMI output and a microUSB are also here, with the latter supporting external 3G modems.

This curious piece of gadgetry may never reach Europe or USA, but it’s still an interesting product to analyze. The only defect I can see right here is the screen resolution, but other than that I find this to be a very solid iPad Mini rival, frankly speaking.
