Apple’s iPad Mini has been made available today in the LTE version as well, offering buyers an extra option to choose. Sales are supposedly already into the millions for the 7.9 inch slate and a version with extra connectivity is an incentive to buy one, if you’ve been holding back till now. That provided you’re not scared of the lower resolution…
People who preordered their LTE iPad Minis started receiving their orders on Thursday and Sprint announced that starting this morning it has the WiFi + LTE version of the iPad Mini available for sale in retailer stores around the country. The tablet will most likely hit Apple Stores as well, plus other carrier stores and Best Buy, so it will be a busy day across the retail chains in all USA. It’s not yet clear how stocks are sitting, but as of right now, the new orders placed on Apple’s website ship within two weeks.
So basically you get a smaller iPad 2, with a dual core Apple A5 chipset, LTE, a 7.9 inch 1024 x 768 display, 16 GB of storage (for starters) and 512 MB of RAM, plus 5 megapixel camera. Also, on a side note, the iPad Mini LTE comes in black and white and prices range from $459 to $659, depending on storage versions.
