Overmax Action 7 Inch Tablet is Meant for Gamers

2012 is not only the year of 7 inch tablets, but also the year of gaming slates. We’ve already got one called Wikipad, another one from Archos and more in the making. Another gaming tablet that looks pretty hot and resembles a portable console more than your regular 7 inch device is the Overmax Action, portrayed below.

Overmax Action is supposed to be “a treat for gamers” and it packs a capacitive 7 inch touchscreen, a Cortex A8 1.2 GHz processor, 8 GB of storage and a microSD card slot. It also has WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, dual cameras, mini USB connectivity and mini HDMI output. There’s also a 3.5 mm audio jack on board and the best part here is probably the pack of 50 sports and classic games bundled with the device, as well as emulators.

It supports PlayStation 1 games, N64 titles and some for SNES and GBA. The console uses a special virtual mapping system on the physical buttons, for an extra smooth gaming experience. Android 4.0 ICS is the OS of choice here and access to the Play Store is guaranteed. The product hits the shelves in December, for a yet unknown price and there also seems to be a camera on board of this baby.
