Because of my recent frustration with Amazon’s decision to block Google Play from Kindle Fire tablets, yet Amazon add their own apps to Google Play, I’m providing some resources here that will help you root your Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD so you can add Google Play to your tablet.
You can read more about this issue here and here and how I feel Amazon is being hypocritical about this whole issue. But I believe, in the long term, Google is going to come after Amazon over this issue and insist that if they are going to run Android on their Kindle Fire tablets, then they MUST allow Google Play to be installed.
