Samsung to Change Brand Image, Unveil Bada OS-Based Smart TV at CES 2013

In case you haven’t checked your calendar lately, the year is almost ending and this means we’re getting closer to the CES 2013 and MWC 2013 events from next year. Samsung is among the headliners in both events, with the Galaxy S IV rumored to give us a glimpse of its beauty there. And now there’s a rumored brand revamp and new TV coming…

Rumors say that Samsung may suffer a brand transformation with a new logo and a new look and they will also unveil a brand new OLED Smart TV with Bada OS on board. As far as rebranding goes, Sammy went to Scott Bedbury for it, the guy who worked with Nike and Starbucks before. It’s expected that Samsung will focus on an approach related to lifestyle activities similar Nike’s strategy.

As far as the TV goes, recently we’ve learned that webOS may be used on a future Smart TV from LG and now Samsung goes to Bada OS. It’s a good idea to turn to the operating systems left aside as projects and ignored and turn them into a viable platform, especially since the Android Smart TVs aren’t that convincing…
